In May 2007 the AusIndustry Subsidised "Better Business Program" concluded. The 8 programs have enabled businesses in regional Victoria and New South Wales to focus on their goals, objectives and strategic planning to develop and implement action plans. Businesses from Bright, Beechworth, Tawonga, Myrtelford, Barnawartha, Harrietville, Porepunkah, Falls Creek, Tawonga South, Wangaratta, Benalla, Oxley, Wilby, Cobram, Yarrawonga, Barooga, Tocumwal, Buckland Valley, Henty, Culcairn, Holbrook, Echuca, Lockington, Kyabram, Rochester, Nanneella and Moama have participated in the 12 week programs in their region. This SBECP (funded under Round 8 of Small Business Entreprise Culture Progam) over the last past 18 month has been a great success for regional businesses struggling from the impacts of the drought, fire and frost.
On 26th April 2007 Julie Guest presented her "Networking for Success" Workshop at the Koori Business Network's Indigenous Economic Development Conference to be held at The Hilton on the Park Hotel in Melbourne.
Program Information
March 2007 - Julie Guest recently spoke to 90 Alpine Shire business people at their "Friends In Tourism" meeting on the topic "Marketing in Hard Times". The luncheon was attended by the Hon. Tim Holding - Victorian Minister for Tourism.
